The Robert J. Byron Memorial Scholarship was established in 2012 to honor his memory and his devotion to the fund after his sudden passing.  Ace, as he was known to his friends and family, generously supported the London Riley Memorial Fund as it was very near and dear to his heart.  Although he left us far too soon, the impact that he had on the lives of those closest to him will never be forgotten.  He was a devoted husband and loving father that lived every day for his wife, Deborah, his daughter Jennifer, his son Derek and his daughter in-law Olivia.  Family meant everything to Ace so it is no surprise that he was an ardent supporter of the London Riley Memorial Fund that was established in his Cousin, Christopher T. Riley’s name. Ace was a devout Catholic and an avid basketball fan.  His passion for the Providence College Friars was second to none. He was also a person that was always there to help others in times of need.  In keeping with his generous giving of himself, this scholarship fund allows for his generosity too continue in his absence.
